We understand the importance of family reunification. We are dedicated to helping parents of migrants join their loved ones in New Zealand. The New Zealand government offers two pathways for eligible parents to obtain residence.
Relationship: Are the parent, grandparent, or legal guardian of a New Zealand citizen or resident
Sponsorship: Are sponsored by an eligible child who meets income and residence requirements
Expression of interest : You need to send INZ an expression of interest (EOI) — if it is selected, they will invite you to apply
Language Obligation: They must understand and speak English fluently or pay for lessons
Health and Character Requirements: They must meet health and character requirements by completing a medical examination and submitting a medical certificate.
Other Requirements: They must meet the other requirements of their pathway visa.
Step 1: Submit an Expression of Interest (EOI)
Step 2: If selected, receive an Invitation to Apply
Step 3:
Submit your residence application with supporting documents within 4months
(EOIs are selected through a ballot system. Not all EOIs are selected.)
