While you must have been living in a relationship with your partner, there is no requirement to be married to your partner and NO minimum period of living together when applying for a partnership work visa

Minimum Requirements

Genuine Relationship: Be living together in a genuine and stable relationship

Partner's Eligibility: To qualify, your partner must hold an eligible New Zealand work visa

Sufficient Funds: Have enough funds to support yourself (or an acceptable sponsor)

Living Arrangement: Have genuine intentions to live with your partner in New Zealand

Intention to leave: Intend to leave New Zealand at the end of your stay

Health and Character Requirements: You must meet health and character requirements.

You cannot include dependent children in this visa application

Your partner must hold an eligible work visa - some short-term or restricted visas (such as Working Holiday, RSE, Fishing Crew, or certain lower-skilled roles) cannot support this visa.

If your partner holds an Accredited Employer Work Visa (AEWV) or Essential Skills Work Visa, additional pay and role requirements may apply, depending on their ANZSCO skill level and sector.
